TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) - The city of Temple recently announced on their event’s Facebook page that they will be moving their event, Christmas at the Plaza, up to start at 3 p.m., instead of 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 29th.

With the chance of weather rolling in later in the evening, the city says they are making a few adjustments to help keep Christmas at the Plaza running smoothly and safely.

They have updated their schedule of events,

  • Christmas Market: 3 p.m to 7 p.m.
  • Drone Show: 6:15 p.m.
  • Tree lighting: 6:30 p.m.

Christmas at the Plaza will be held at Santa Fe Plaza, located at 301 W. Avenue A

Visitors can browse local vendors, go on carriage rides, meet live reindeer, and take photos under the lights before the tree lighting show with drones and fireworks.

The city says public parking will be available around the Santa Fe Plaza, the 1st Street Parking Garage, and the surrounding areas.

The Christmas at the Plaza event kicks off Temple’s Holly Jolly, a month-long event to celebrate the holiday season.
