A foggy start for much of Central Texas this morning — patchy dense fog and widespread low clouds are causing some slowdowns, especially along and east of I-35 where a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect through 10 AM. Take it easy on the morning drive. Fog and clouds should lift by late morning, giving way to sunshine and highs in the 70s this afternoon.

As the day goes on, skies clear and winds stay light. It’s nice to have a break from the rain chances today. Monday brings a warmer trend, especially west of I-35, with highs climbing into the low to mid 80s.

A strong cold front arrives Tuesday, bringing a few isolated showers (mainly east and southeast of I-35) and gusty north to northwest winds up to 25–30 mph. Behind the front comes a real taste of fall with lows dipping into the 40s and highs only in the low to mid 60s Wednesday and Thursday.

By Friday, winds ease and temperatures start a slow rebound heading into the weekend. Highs nice weekend look nice in the mid 70s Saturday and upper 70s Sunday.
