The gray and cloudy skies will continue along with intermittent drizzle through Wednesday evening! The skies won’t clear up more until tomorrow (Thursday, December 18th) as a cold front moves through the area. This won’t bring a huge temperature change (highs will still be in the 70’s) but it WILL bring windy conditions on Thursday afternoon. Temperatures should fall only slightly on Friday and it might be chilly out the door Friday morning, but things are looking much MUCH warmer from this weekend onward. In fact, a few temperature records could be broken from Saturday all the way through Christmas!

A cold front moves in late Thursday morning/early Thursday aftenroon, bringing gusty winds. Morning temperautres in the 50’s and 60’s will give way to afternoon highs in the 70’s, despite the front.

Temperatures will fall into the upper 30’s on Friday morning, and mid 60’s on Friday afternoon, but this dip will be short lived. We are anticipating a new temperature record to be set this Saturday at the Waco Regional Airport - the record high of 78° set in the year 1978 is on pace to be broken by a forecasted high of 79.

Believe it or not...this is one of at least two records we will be watching over the course of the 10 day forecast.

If you were hoping for a cold, white Christmas - I am sorry to disappoint! Temperatures will stay in the mid to upper 70’s most of next week, including Christmas Day. There is a small chance we could see some lower 80’s in Central Texas on Christmas Day too...and the record for the warmest Christmas Day is 82° set in 2021. So it won’t be a white Christmas in Central Texas this year.....it will be quite the opposite!
